AMAZING FACTS ABOUT REAL ESTATE

If you are looking for some interesting real estate trivia, here are some fascinating titbits for you.

1. Is McDonald one of the world's best real estate portfolios?

Most of us do not realise that McDonald is not merely a burger-flipping restaurant chain but one of the world’s fastest-growing real estate companies.

They get paid handsomely for owning the best commercial real estate all over the world. It inherits the land and buildings at most of its locations as well as its franchisees paying McDonald’s rent resulting in high profitability. They started by leasing out to franchisees, charging a generous share. They were minting a considerable sum of money. The brand also arranged the lease agreement that if the outlet performed well, then the shares would rise. The franchisee either paid the lease mark-up or shared profit in sales, whichever was higher, making McDonald’s invincible.

2. Is the White House worth it?

The White House, Washington, DC is a National Heritage Site owned by the National Park Service. Although the location for the White House was the first US president, George Washington’s choice, Irish-born architect James Hoban built it in 1792. The White House has 132 rooms and 35 bathrooms spread across six levels with eight staircases, three elevators, 28 fireplaces and 412 incredible doors.

According to US-based real-estate listings firm Zillow calculated in 2017, the White House is worth $397.9 million. That is equivalent to £290 million, making it worth more than the most expensive house in Britain.

3. Which is the Ex-tallest structure in the world?

One of the most interesting Giza pyramid facts is that the Great Pyramid held the record as the tallest structure in the world built by man for almost four thousand years until the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.

The monumental tombs of the Giza Pyramid are relics of Egypt’s Old Kingdom era enduring eternity. The massive Great Pyramid was built for the Pharaoh Khufu and finished around 2560 BCE. It remains the only marvel of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that is still intact. Perched on the outskirts of Cairo, the Giza site contains six pyramids in total: three towering ones, including the Great Pyramid, and three smaller ones with an enormous statue of a sphinx.

4. Can a meteor build a city?

At first glance, Nordlingen looks like any other beautiful classic German town, with its medieval churches and red-coloured roofs.
Like no other ordinary town Nordlingen was conceived inside a meteorite crater. Nearly 14.5 million years ago, a meteor streaked across the sky of Earth, resulting in creating a place which is better known as the Nördlinger Ries (crater) today, and the diamonds here (less than 0.2 millimetres) are the result of the same asteroid, which slammed into this region of Bavaria. Engraved with more than 72,000 tons of tiny microscopic diamonds, these roofs are extraordinary.
